Lace Guide
Lace Guide
The lace you choose can make a major difference in the overall appearance of your wig. Here’s a simple breakdown to help you understand your options.
HD Lace
HD lace is extremely thin, lightweight, and designed to create a seamless, natural-looking finish against the scalp.
Because of its delicate construction, HD lace should always be handled with care.
Best for:
A luxury, natural-looking install and an almost invisible lace appearance.
Transparent Lace
Transparent lace is lightweight lace with a light/transparent appearance. It can be customized with lace tint, makeup, or other installation techniques to better complement different skin tones.
Best for:
Versatile everyday wigs and customers who don’t mind customizing their lace.
Swiss Lace
Swiss lace is known for being soft and lightweight while generally offering a balance between durability and a natural appearance.
Best for:
Customers looking for comfortable lace with a natural finish.
Closures vs. Frontals
Closure: Covers a smaller portion of the front/top of the head and typically requires less maintenance.
Frontal: Extends farther across the front hairline, allowing for more styling versatility and a fuller hairline appearance.
Caring for Your Lace
Lace is delicate. Avoid excessive pulling, scratching, over-plucking, or aggressively removing adhesive.
Always take your time when installing, removing, washing, and styling your wig.
KLC Tip: The more delicate and seamless the lace, the more gently it should be handled.
